Random Space Out

So I drive about ten hours a week. During one of my drives home, I thought about every job I've had. Here is the list:

Glen Echo Seafood - (No job title) - 1990-1992
Ledo Pizza - Front Counter/Waiter - 1992-1996
Superstar Studios - Videographer/Manager (Birthday Parties) - 1997
Veneman Music - Drum Warehouse/ Keyboard Sales - 1997-1998
Washington Music Center - Keyboard Sales - 1998-2005
Camp Arena Stage - Counselor/Teacher - (June - August) 2005 - 2009
Mont. County Public Schools - Substitute Teacher - Jan. thru June 2006
P. G. County P. S. - E.S. Instrumental Music Teacher - Aug. 2006 - Present
Radio Free Asia - Master Control Contractor - 2007-2008
Brother Ent. - Performer (Gaylord Hotel) - May 2008 through Feb. 2009
Retail Store # 3 - Sales + Customer Service - 2009

I think the next space out will be to list every band I've played in. The anticipation must be driving you crazy ...

In my introduction to educational leadership class, we've learned that previous experiences prepare us for our next job. I pray that the Lord will use the knowledge I've gained through the jobs listed above to grow as a teacher and to be prepared for whatever professional role He will give me.

On a random note, at the training for my new part-time job, one of the trainers showed me this poem. I enjoyed it so I thought I would share it w/ my 5-6 blog reading friends. Check it out if you have time.

Here's my favorite stanza:
By the last lost chord, our director Looked older and soberer.
No doubt, in his mind's ear Some band somewhere
In some music of some Sphere
Was striking a note as pure As the wishes of Franz Schubert,
But meanwhile here we were: A lesson in everything minor,
Decomposing our first composer.
I hope everyone has a great week, and the next post should be a bonanza of pictures from the last two months.

New Curtains

Well, it's been a long time since I've posted. No excuses here, just a new post w/ our new curtains.

There was only a little bit of sinning this time, not like the last time I used a drill. Anyway, we are excited to have these up.
